A farmer named Wilson has a mortgage due, and a man named Bedoe doesn't want him to meet it because he knows that the railroad's coming, and the Wilson's land is where they will be going through. The story begins in the Old West when Cooper, who was then a bounty hunter, went to a town to get his quarry, which he does. Walker tells some children who are touring the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame the story of Hayes Cooper. They try to get Garrett but Garrett just had too many men and the sister is caught by Walker. Marine Staff Sergeant Parrish comes to bring J.W. has some evidence against him, Garrett killed him and order his men to get J.W. The man Walker sent in was being brought to a safe house when Garrett has him grabbed, and was about to kill him when he told Garrett that J.W. some evidence against Garrett before he killed her and J.W. J.W.'s a marine, who has a history of insolence but considered to be good marine. Walker sends someone to get Garrett to incriminate himself on tape and was about to when someone jumps out of nowhere and tries to kill Garrett. When Garrett learns what she is, he kills her. Meanwhile Walker and Trivette learn from Tony's sister, Mollie, that he had falling out with Tillman, and with Gordon's help they suspect Tillman is behind the murder - because if the prosecuting attorney is having an affair with the defense attorney and the defense attorney ends up dead then Lane Tillman would go free because there would be no second trial.īelle Starr McClain is an under cover agent working on Jack Garrett. Her father Gordon Cahill returns to defend her in court.Īlex is put in a womens prison where the convicts want to get revenge against her for putting them in there, but she is saved by a woman named Alfre Grimes who was put in because of a mistake. She reveals to Walker that Tony came to her last night with evidence that would turn the case around before she passed out. The next morning Tony is found dead at Alex's beside and she is arrested for suspicion of murder. When all of the other cops stated that there was no reason justifying BarkĪlex's current case is a retrial of Lane Tillman, a mob boss, who is defended by Tony Seville, who was Alex's lover years ago. When he stopped, Barkley then proceeded to beat him up, eventually the other cops had to pull Barkley off the boy. A few years ago, Carlos, the other cops and Barkley were chasing this motorist who was speeding. While Alex checks on him, Walker asks Carlos to explain who is this guy is and why is he killing all these cops. After giving a decription of the man, Carlos thinks that it's a Metro cop named Rod Barkley. Carlos was visiting Trent when the killer tries to kill Carlos but Trent saves him. Trivette gets a call from a cop, who has some info he would like to give him but asks that they meet in his place, when Trivette goes there, the killer has already killed the cop and shoots Trivette. Walker tries to see if there is some kind of connection all the cops that were killed. Alex narrowly gets Bobby back to the truck and head back to the lodge with the Larkins closely behind Walker and Trivette hear the gun shots Trivette thinks it is hunters but Walker knows that hunters don't use Automatic Guns.Īs Trent tries to help out his family, and reconnect with his siblings especially his brother, Tommy, who felt that Trent deserted them. Meanwhile Alex is taking a ride with Bobby Hanks son who is the Park ranger and they see the Larkins pick up a case of heroin Alex recognizes them and despite her warning to wait for Walker Bobby knows that they would be gone by then and orders them with their hands up unaware that one of Larkins men is sneaking up behind Bobby and shoots him. However Glen shoots them dead anyway because no matter what he never leaves behind a witness. Meanwhile a group of Drug Runners ran by Glen Larkin and his younger brother Chip lay seige to this place and when they find an elderly couple who promise not to ever testify against them. Walker and his friends are on a fishing trip in the wilderness in a cabin run by Hank Cotton an old friend of Walker and CD.

See Harmonix’s blog post for the full list of 18 compatible peripherals. Doing so requires a $14.99 purchase from Rock Band 4’s in-game store.Īs for instrument controllers, Harmonix said, “Generally, if it worked on Rock Band 4 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it should work on next-gen.” The company tested a bunch of hardware with Rock Band 4 on Xbox Series X and PS5 the list of controllers that Harmonix can guarantee as being compatible goes back as far as the Rock Band 2 drums on PS3 the Rock Band 2 Fender Stratocaster guitar on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and the Ion Drum Rocker on Xbox 360 (requires PDP’s discontinued Wired Legacy Adapter) and PS3. 1 to export the 83 songs on the Rock Band 3 disc into Rock Band 4, Harmonix announced recently. The only exception is Rock Band 3, which remains available at this time - but not for much longer. ( The Beatles: Rock Band has never been available for export.) Unfortunately, if you haven’t previously brought songs from older games into Rock Band 4, you’ve lost your chance - the song export licenses for Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Lego Rock Band, Green Day: Rock Band, and Rock Band Blitz have all expired at this point. Microsoft syncs Xbox One save files automatically via the cloud Sony offers cloud storage only to PlayStation Plus members, so PS4 owners who don’t have a subscription will have to manually transfer saves via USB storage. The studio added that existing Rock Band 4 save data will be compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X, so you can pick up where you left off with your career mode progress. “No messy generation transition this time, it’s the same DLC!” “All DLC currently available for download will also work on new consoles,” said Harmonix. This time around, that won’t be a problem. But for a number of reasons, including the vagaries of music licensing agreements, the process was complicated and had a lot of caveats. Rock Band 4, which launched in October 2015 on PS4 and Xbox One, allowed players to carry forward songs from the Rock Band titles on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (as well as additional tracks they’d purchased). Harmonix has always described the Rock Band franchise as a platform, and it appears that Microsoft’s and Sony’s commitments to it-just-works backward compatibility have made it easier for the studio to uphold that philosophy. “We believe previously supported instruments should work as expected.” “ Rock Band 4 and all DLC will work on the next generation consoles day 1,” said Harmonix. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are backward-compatible with pretty much the entire Xbox One and PlayStation 4 libraries, respectively - and rhythm game fans will be delighted to hear that Rock Band 4 is included in the list on both next-generation consoles, developer Harmonix announced Tuesday.
It’s a nod to modern farmer article that talks about the future of prosthetics for farmers. It shows a man’s leg with a mucky rubber boots on one foot and then it shows a titanium prosthetic leg on the other side. It talks about assistive technology made for farmers. I’m looking at an article from Gizmodo Australia. I’ll pop a link in the show notes over to and you can read more about what’s happening in Malta with folks who are blind or visually impaired and wants to vote. It’s interesting, and it to be by surprise that in Malta come and I assume other areas of the world, if you need assistance in voting, you may not have the assistive technology that makes it independent or at least the ability to have somebody of your choice in the voting booth with you. There’s some political wrangling about whether or not the political parties think that that’s fair or appropriate. As opposed to having somebody that you know and trust go into the both with you and help. This really kind of struck my attention because here in the US and I think in the UK, we take for granted a lot of the freedoms that aren’t afforded folks who have disabilities who wants to vote and participate in the political process however, it seems to me from reading this article that in Malta, if you are blind or need some assistance with your vote, at somebody from the election committee, the electoral commission, or the political party, has to help you in assisting with your voting process if you need an accommodation. However I just found an article in Malta Today talking about people who are blind or visually impaired in the country of Malta who are advocating for the ability to have someone help them in the voting booth with casting their vote. With elections coming up, that’s a really important thing here in the US. Not too long ago, we featured some guests were talking about accessibility in voting. You can learn more about what’s happening in Canada for folks who need to text 911. I think that’s pretty interesting what’s happening in Canada. I hear lots of things going on in the US and Canada and elsewhere in the world about texting and 911 and how that makes that critical service accessible to folks who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech challenges. The way the system is set up is that individuals will make a voice call to 911, but if they have free for registered their cell phone number with carriers, then that was called will immediately be converted into a text called whereby the person can then report their emergency. You can reach us at 31 or you can shoot us a note on Twitter found an article from the Vancouver Sun in Canada that talks about how texting for 911 emergencies will soon be available for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech challenges. We hope that you will check out the show notes on our website at or give us a call on our listener line and tell us what’s in your assistive technology toolbox or ask a question or give us some feedback. An interesting thing that we are going to make available to teach web developers how to make their content more accessible. Some awards from able gamers about accessibility in the videogame market. Interesting ways that people are using assistive technology on the farm in Australia. I’ve got some stories that have to do with 911 texting and Canada. It’s a desktop it’s a portable it’s both. While FSOG may have been partly responsible for the explosion of self-published ‘Mommy Porn’ available to married/harried readers on eBook platforms, it didn’t prove to be such a keeper in paperback form – by the end of 2012, British charity shops were reporting a glut of discarded copies (“We have thousands of copies of all the Fifty Shades books, but we've stopped selling them because no one was buying them”). The book has since sold more than 100,000,000 copies around the world, outstripping such previous benchmarks of bestsellerdom in the UK as The Highway Code. Ka-Ching! At the end of that year, Random House reported a 76 per cent increase in operating profits and rewarded every employee with a $5,000 bonus. Random House imprint Vintage Books heeded the furor and bought the rights for six figures in 2012 (which is when I first wrote about the trilogy and its ramifications for Litreactor). 'Fifty Shades of Grey', the movie, shouldn’t be viewed as a separate or oppositional text, but as a brand extension. Word-of-mouth ignited a media firestorm, with pundits either shaking their heads at the ‘depravity’ of the sex scenes, or expressing amazement that women (women!) could possibly enjoy reading a description of fellatio that included the immortal line, “He’s my very own Christian Grey-flavored popsicle”. The word of mouth was unprecedented, as women worldwide shared their guilty pleasure with circle upon circle of friends, many of whom quietly purchased an electronic copy for private perusal (it would become the first eBook to sell more than a million copies). The newly re-titled trilogy wasn’t the only “de-Twilighted” romance on the market, but it was the one that caught fire. In 2011 she published a series of print-on-demand and eBooks through fanfic specialists The Writers Coffee Shop, calling the first book Fifty Shades of Grey to reflect the subtle nuances of its hero’s tortured soul. James, collected it into three volumes, ran a universal ‘Find and Replace’, switching out “Edward Cullen” for “Christian Grey” and “Bella Swan” for “Anastasia Steele”. The story began life as episodic online fan-fiction, Snowqueen's Icedragon’s re-rendering of Twilight as a middle-aged woman’s sex fantasy – Edward and Bella getting down without all those silly vampires and werewolves to distract them from bumping nubblies. Let’s recap, for those of you who have been hiding under your fainting couch for the last four years. It’s pointless now to quibble about the terrible writing, the cardboard characters, the clueless BDSM practice, or the way it showcases an abusive relationship as a romantic ideal: Fifty Shades of Grey is a bona fide cultural phenomenon. It has also provoked a shift in attitudes towards alternate sexuality, pushing bondage practice into the aisles of Target and onto the list of frank discussion topics for the Today team. It was a gamechanger for publishing, eReaders and sex toy manufacturers. It’s one of the most successful intellectual properties of our time, generating a massive revenue stream and commanding extraordinary brand name recognition globally. It seems insulting to describe Fifty Shades of Grey simply as a book. He goes on, “We look forward to working with Carmen and the estate to help expand Luther’s influence.” “Luther Vandross was a soulful American icon who was the voice of a generation,” says Larry Mestel, CEO & Founder, Primary Wave Music. Romano, of FBBM Entertainment Business Management. The LV Estate’s goal is to see Luther’s legacy continue to flourish and believe the partnership with Primary Wave is a clear step in that direction” said Carmen J. “We are delighted to join forces with Larry and Primary Wave. In 2010, Luther was named one of NPR’s 50 Greatest Voices and in 2014, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is the recipient of 2 American Music Awards and 3 NAACP Awards. He released 11 consecutive platinum albums, won 8 Grammy Awards, while being nominated an incredible 33 times. Over the course of his 3+ decade career, Vandross sold over 40 million records worldwide. In 1981 Luther would release his solo debut the critically acclaimed Never Too Much, propelling him into super-stardom, which included producing music for Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, and Dionne Warwick, in addition to his own records. Creating the hook for Bowie’s hit “Young Americans” and co-writing “Fascination” from the same album, Luther would begin touring with Bowie before becoming an in-demand background vocalist for the likes of Bette Midler, Roberta Flack, Diana Ross, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Judy Collins and more. He would start contributing background vocals on several projects in 1973 and a year later wrote the iconic “Everybody Rejoice/Brand New Day” for the Broadway musical The Wiz and would meet David Bowie, two events that would alter Luther’s career. Primary Wave Music continues to acquire some of the greatest music in history, announcing their partnership with the estate of the legendary and award-winning musical powerhouse Luther Vandross. Born in 1951, Luther started his music career when he was just in High School, playing Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem four times. But that’s a small price to pay for a free VR port of Half-Life! Between this and Black Mesa, these fan projects allow us to re-experience the world of Half-Life while we wait for Valve to do… something with it. The mod is still a work in progress, so expect bugs. Full instructions on how to move over the Half-Life game files over to the mod, and then to the Quest, is available on the Lambda1VR website. To get started, simply download SideQuest on your computer and follow the setup process to connect your Quest. YOU WILL NEED TO LEGALLY OWN HALF-LIFE IF YOU WISH TO PLAY IT IN VR USING LAMBDA1VR. Out Now IMPORTANT NOTE: This is just an engine port, no game assets are included whatsoever. Check out or modifications page for full details and instructions. Lambda1VR gives players full degree of motion with the game’s weapons, so you’ll be able to wack headcrabs with a crowbar just as you would in real-life. Half Life: Blue Shift and Half Life: Opposing Force are now officially supported by the mod. The mod ports over the original game engine ( Half-Life: Source does not work with this mod) so that the game can be playable on the Oculus Quest with additional VR mechanics included. Lambda1VR is in no way official, but it does require that people interested in playing the classic FPS in VR own the game already. One such project is Lambda1VR - a VR port of the original Half-Life. The Oculus Quest is an impressive machine ( read my review here), and the fact that it supports the sideloading of unofficial apps gives users the freedom to play (and create) things that would otherwise never see the light of day. So I still need something to do all the plugin mastering, I have demoed Wavelab, I hate the GUI, to me it feels messy, lots of tiny icons, very un-Mac like but it works. If only it enabled you to add plugins to your files - but it doesn't. I have bought HOFA CD Burn-DDP, apart from the garish GUI it is straight forward to use and works, import your dithered 16-bit wav or use the built-in dither on your 24-bit files, then layout tracks, add gaps, fades, meta data UPC, ISRC etc, then export DDP or burn CD all seems to work as it should. If I do so prematurely, the demo could run out before I get to use it. I may download the latest (quite recent) Wavelab update for a trial run, once I am at Mastering stage of one of my seven simultaneous projects. I do all of my actual audio editing in BIAS Peak Pro still, as it seems to give the most control, flexibility, precision, and even quality of results.ĭue to 64-bit compatibility, I apply most of my plug-ins in DSP-Quattro now, knowing full well that I may have to restart a session - so I take careful notes all along the way.įor awhile, I was trying to use iZotope RX Advanced for my mastering, but it only allows one plug-in at a time, and sometimes crashes, leading to confusion and sometimes applying a plug-in twice by mistake (or forgetting a plug-in in your preferred chain). Inability to easily go where you want to go in an audio track and/or limit your focus. So I'll list what hasn't worked for ME in DSP-Quattro: I'm usually too short on time to fight an app that isn't working for me, even though I know the best policy is to assume it's "User Error". Having just upgraded to El Capitan last week, I can confirm what Guitar Gaz said about BIAS Peak Pro working better in El Capitan than in Yosemite. The epidemiology and clinical features of HIV associated TB are well researched, but few studies have addressed in detail the cellular mechanisms. HIV and TB are the most pressing public health problems in Africa: in South Africa, many hundreds of people still die prematurely per day because of HIV, many due to co-existent TB. What's important to me is the internal click and routing it only to the headphones but not to the FOH.Īnyway, I think the memory is a lot harder to replace than a display or a pad, because those are just connected with ribbon cables, but the memory seems to be solded directly on the board. I only switched it on to format the card and sell the whole thing and get an SPD-SX or maybe a Yamaha DTX Multi 12 - this is only 2/3rds of the price and the only disadvantage seems to be the small wave memory. Wow, you were really lucky there! Actually I hadn't been using my SPD-S for about a year because it's so tedious to configure, with that giant old flash card, the 8-letter filenames, assigning sounds to pads on that tiny display. |
